ORACLE COMMITS

The oracle generates a random secret and publishes sha256(secret + oracle_pubkey) on-chain. This happens BEFORE you pay — the oracle is locked in.

YOU MINT

You pay and provide your own random seed (user_seed). The oracle doesn't know your seed, and you don't know the oracle's secret.

ORACLE REVEALS

The oracle reveals its secret. The contract verifies it matches the commitment, then derives your traits from sha256(secret + slot_hash + user_seed + mint_index).

VERIFY ANYTIME

The commitment hash and user seed are stored on your gumball forever. Anyone can independently verify the randomness was fair using our verification tool.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

What blockchain is this on? +
Gumball Machine NFT is built on X1, a Solana-compatible blockchain. You need XNT tokens and an X1-compatible wallet (X1 Wallet or Backpack) to mint.
What does "100% on-chain" mean? +
The SVG artwork for every gumball is stored directly on the X1 blockchain — not on IPFS, AWS, or any external server. Your NFT can never be taken down or lost because the server went offline.
How do I verify my gumball is fair? +
Visit the Verify page and enter your gumball's serial number. The commitment hash and user seed are stored on-chain. You can independently recompute the traits to prove no manipulation occurred.
What happens if the oracle goes down? +
If the oracle doesn't reveal within 5 minutes, you can claim a full refund of your mint payment. The oracle auto-restarts via PM2 and the team is alerted via Telegram monitoring.
Can I sell my gumball? +
Yes! The built-in marketplace lets you list gumballs for sale at any price, make offers on others' gumballs, and trade directly. A 5% royalty goes to the treasury on every sale.
How does burn-to-upgrade work? +
Burn multiple gumballs of the same rarity to receive one gumball of the next rarity tier — guaranteed. For example, burn 5 Commons to get 1 Uncommon. Each upgrade also costs the current mint price as a fee.
Is the smart contract audited? +
The contract has undergone 5 internal + 1 external audit with 24 findings identified and resolved. The code is open source on GitHub for anyone to review.
